Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club seeks a Banquet Manager who is focused on delivering excellent member and guest dining experiences.
Our Food and Beverage offerings are expanding and our team is in search of the right candidate to help us achieve our goals.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for the management of banquet events in a manner that is most pleasing to members and their guests.
Assure a high standard of appearance, hospitality and service in personnel and cleanliness of banquet spaces.
Supervise and train banquet staff.
Manage within budgetary restraints.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Supports and Manages the Events Department while working closely with the Food and Beverage Director, Dining Room Manager, Conference Services and other departments.
Leadership responsibilities may also include banquet set up and Banquet Beverage.
Supervise, Empower, Lead, Coach and Motivate the Banquet team including captains, food servers, and banquet setup towards achieving exceptional guest service results and complete associate engagement Ability to assist the club in reaching superior member and guest experiences.
Ensure thorough communication and understanding with members/guests and other departments by reviewing Banquet Event Orders.
Responsible for the appropriate and timely set up of all functions and meetings while maintaining standards of food, beverage and meeting specifications Responsible for proactively reviewing staffing and equipment needs Responsible for ensuring coordination and execution of all events with Culinary, Conference Services and all other departments Calculate and prepare the daily gratuities and payroll ensuring accurate, prompt reporting to the accounting department Responsible for maintaining a high energy, positive, professional appearance Responsible for developing innovative and creative d cor for Banquet function space Creates an environment establishing highest standards of quality service and ensures implementation through effective hiring, training development, promotion and continuous reinforcement.
Responsible for doing the inventory for food and beverage functions Performing daily walk-throughs in banquet department and all function space and storerooms to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and club standards Responsible for bar inventory and setup for banquet events Responsible for communicating linen needs for banquet events to Dining Room Manager for ordering Ability to develop ideas for special events and holiday functions Able to work flexible shifts to consist of mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekend and holidays.
Assists with dining room management on dining room managers days off.
Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:
Minimum of two years previous restaurant supervisor/management experience required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and P.
O.
S.
system experience.
Salary commensurate with experience.
